For nearly 30 years, Carlisle has created seasonal collections of beautiful, unique and versatile pieces, using only the finest fabrics and yarns. Our clothes are truly luxurious, created with exceptional attention to every detail. Our fabrics come from the same sources used by Chanel, Akris, Valentino and other fine designers. The most superior workmanship in the industry goes into every Carlisle garment, and careful thought is given to the comfort and ease of the woman who wears it. Our designers interpret the latest fashion trends to create beautiful, wearable and enduring pieces.

Individual Service by Diana Moore
For over 10 years, Diana has been offering The Carlisle Collection to her clients at the Copley Plaza in Boston, and her home in historic Concord, Massachusetts. She has built her business into one of Carlisle’s top ten in the nation. Diana’s clients come from all around the greater Boston area to shop with her each season. Clients trust Diana’s knowledge and experience, and they especially appreciate her understanding of their own personal wardrobe needs. As a service to her clients, Diana carefully tracks all purchases, so that she can make thoughtful suggestions about coordinating new selections with those from previous seasons, and to avoid any chance of duplication with friends and colleagues. She serves as a resource for her clients, responding to inquiries on everything from accessories and alterations to hosiery and haircuts.

Over the past 10 years, Diana has helped her clients build beautiful wardrobes from the Carlisle Collection. Each of these women has her own preferences, personal tastes, life style, and budget. But there are a few common truths: no woman appreciates how attractive she is until she knows she is wearing the right clothes. And every woman performs better, no matter what her role, when she is confident that she looks her best.
Carlisle Virtual Consultant
As your Virtual Consultant for Carlisle, I will become familiar with your particular tastes and needs and help you arrive at the wardrobe that’s uniquely you. As Oscar Wilde said, “You may as well be yourself; everyone else is
already taken.”
I can email you suggestions via “Virtual Dressing Rooms” filled with Carlisle and Per Se pieces that I think might work well with your individual needs and preferences.
I am also available to set up appointments for “Screen Sharing” shopping expeditions. We can sit at our computers in our respective homes or offices and shop the Carlisle Online Boutique together while talking on our cell phones.
It is an easy, fun and productive way to get some of your wardrobe needs filled and up to date.
If you are a client in my geographic area, I am available to make “house calls” if your clothes have been delivered and you have questions about alterations (and MOST clothes do need some alteration as few of us are shaped
identically to the fit models used in the industry!) or just want a girlfriend’s honest opinion about whether or not something really works for you!

Wardrobe “Editing”
I will come to your home for up to half a day and we will go through your existing wardrobe and closet, weeding out pieces you haven’t worn in years, identifying “holes” that need to be filled, making plans for alterations or
adjustments to existing garments that might need it, and possibly working on putting pieces together as workable outfits. In my opinion, many women could do this themselves without my help; but, it can just seem such a tedious and
overwhelming task that having a companion and a fresh perspective can be really helpful and a LOT more fun!
My fee for this service is $250.00 with the fee discounted to $200.00 if you are an existing Carlisle/Per Se client.
You will receive a booklet containing the essential elements of a wardrobe for various lifestyles, including career, stay-at-home mom, etc., a work-up of essential elements you may need to acquire to complete your wardrobe, and
“The 10 Commandments of Dressing,” my own humorous, but deadly serious, take on attiring oneself as well as “The Seven Deadly Sins of Dressing” according to me. (One example? “If over 40, thou shalt not wear clothes with words on
them… unless they are truly… seriously… really witty.”)
Lucy’s Shopping Tips
The Carlisle Online Boutique employs a unique shopping aid – you won’t find it at the big department stores online and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it employed by any other online shop – that is incredibly helpful in putting outfits
together and making decisions. I’d like for you to be aware of it and utilize it in your shopping. Here is how it works: After you sign in to the Online Boutique, decide whether you want to view the Per Se Line or the Carlisle Line.
Under each of these headings, there is a heading marked “Shop by Category.” When you click on this heading, you can then choose, for example, “Jackets,” and a line of all of the jackets currently available will line up across your
screen.
Then, scrolling from left to right, choose a jacket that you like and click on it. The Jacket will pop up and underneath the photo and description of the jacket, headings will pop up showing every top, pant, skirt, dress,
accessory, etc. that coordinate with that item from both Carlisle and Per Se (yes, the lines are designed to work with one another as well). This is simply an ingenious and GREAT resource to utilize to find a way to put these
beautiful pieces together in your own unique way. If, when you were browsing the “Brochure” section, you saw a piece that you loved but didn’t like the other items styled with it, this resource helps you to restyle the piece and put
it with the trouser cut that you prefer or change it to a more monochromatic streamlined look if that is more your style. You can dress a piece up or down or go in a whole different direction with it that suits your unique life and
style. I LOVE this and hope that you will find it as helpful as I do!
Frequently Asked Questions
How is shipping handled?
Shipping is free, and all deliveries will be received via UPS within three business days. All orders placed prior to 3:00 p.m. EST will be shipped that same day; orders placed after 3:00 will be shipped the next day. If needed,
delivery can be upgraded to overnight shipping.
How are the pieces packaged for shipping?
All shipments are packaged as follows: You will receive a plain brown “outer” box containing an “inner box.” This inner box will be a signature box, and your pieces will be wrapped in signature paper with a gold label on top.
Each box will contain a Packing Summary, a Return Summary, a Return Label and a Thank You card.
Are returns really “hassle free?”
Yes. You simply place the pieces you don’t want back in the box along with the Return Summary, tape it up, place the return label on it and ship it. There are NO forms to fill out! Office Depot and many other places accept UPS
for shipping if you don’t have a favorite UPS shipping point already. You have 30 days to return your items, door to door, to receive credit on your original form of payment. Returns are generally processed within one day of
receipt – please note that there may be some variability on banks’ processing charge reversals, and this can sometimes take up to 5 days. Returns after 30 days will create “store credit” with the Online Boutique.
What type of customer service can I expect from Carlisle directly?
The Carlisle Customer Service Motto is “Whatever it takes.” Customer Service is one of the things the company prides itself on the most. In addition to the services provided by Lucy Shackelford, your Virtual Consultant, the
following services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST, speaking with a live human being, via a single phone line: information on delivery, shipping and receiving; topical technical support; returns
and credit; and product knowledge (the customer service department keeps samples of EACH ITEM in the service room with them to accurately answer your questions about color, color compatibility, fit, etc.). If questions cannot be
answered immediately, Carlisle has a 24-hour policy: all questions will be answered within 24 hours of receiving them.
Are the clothes really more amenable to alterations than most on the market?
Yes. Production starts with an in-house industry standard size 8 fit model. Carlisle starts production with its own workroom and tailors and makes its own samples – one of the only couture houses in the world that still does it that
way. The clothes are constructed with double-faced construction and generous seam allowances, both of which facilitate easier alteration – whether taking up or letting out. Remember what the best dressed women know: Your designer
sizes your clothes; but, your tailor “fits” them to you.
What is the “Carlisle Advantage”?
Carlisle understands that a successful wardrobe must be filled with interchangeable separates that are capable of seguing from year to year and season to season. In addition to the majority of its pieces being clothing that, in most
climates, can be worn four seasons a year, the colors used in the lines are designed to coordinate from year to year. The Carlisle Advantage takes these concepts and makes them yield tangible results – for example, using a few key
pieces (three significant tops, a couple of jackets and some black pants, a pair of patterned pants, etc.) you could take 9 pieces and create 27 very different looks the result of which is that each look ends up costing only $98.00.
This is called a smart investment. It is also a much more “French” way of looking at creating a wardrobe: Buy high-quality important pieces and use them creatively and for years to come.
Does Carlisle give back to the community?
Yes, Carlisle has a rich history of philanthropy. In 1988, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation became their primary charity. To date, Carlisle has donated to this group – which funds research and development toward a cure
for breast cancer – 1.6 million dollars, making it one of the foundation’s largest contributors in the world. Carlisle designs a special scarf each year (the Susan G. Komen scarf), and the sales from this are donated exclusively to
the foundation.
